The services that Simrok provides include but are not limited to the following:

 

Site investigations and feasibility studies

Desk studies and field investigations with geotechnical assessments and production of reports with recommendations.  This includes geotechnical feasibility studies for Greenfields.

 

Slope stability investigations and assessment

Field investigations with geotechnical assessments of natural and cut/mine/dump slopes and production of reports with recommendations.

 

Design assessments

Geotechnical assessment of excavation/mine designs and ensuring compliance to safety and standards as per ground management plan. 

 

Secondment and opencut operational support

Fill-in Geotechnical and/or RPEQ Engineer to enhance manpower during staff departure or on holidays.

 

Projects and Management

Provide geotechnical project management and undertaking geotechnical projects to time and budget.

 

Geotechnical Supervision 

Provide supervision of contractors, projects, remedial works, graduates and young engineers.

 

Geotechnical awareness and skill training

Training young and growing geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists and planning engineers to improve design output considering operation effectiveness in safety, cost and production.

 

Review and Audit

Provide expert opinion and third-party peer review of geotechnical operations ensuring alignment to their ground control management plans and audit to ensure compliance to the industry standards.
